The Board of County Commissioners of Brevard County, Florida, met in special session on November 19, 2004 at 1:37 p.m. in the Government Center Commission Room, Building C, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, Florida. Present were: Chairman Ron Pritchard, Commissioners Truman Scarborough and Jackie Colon via telecon, Commissioners Helen Voltz, and Susan Carlson, County Manager Tom Jenkins, and County Attorney Scott Knox.

RESOLUTION, RE: AUTHORIZING USE OF FACSIMILE SIGNATURE OF CHAIRMAN
AND OTHER AUTHORIZED OFFICIALS OF THE COUNTY

County Attorney Scott Knox read the title of the Resolution authorizing use of the facsimile signature of the Chairman and other authorized officials of the County into the record.

Motion by Commissioner Voltz, seconded by Commissioner Carlson, to adopt Resolution authorizing the use of the facsimile signature of the Chairman, as well as other authorized officials of the County, when the Chairman’s facsimile signature is unavailable for any reason.

Commissioner Voltz suggested that as a Commissioner comes into office, staff obtain signature plates automatically.

Commissioner Voltz amended the motion to approve that as a Commissioner comes into office, staff obtain the signature plates automatically; and Commissioner Carlson accepted the amendment.

Chairman Pritchard called for a vote on the motion as amended. Motion carried and ordered unanimously. (See page for Resolution No. 04-296.)

Upon motion and vote, the meeting adjourned at 1:39 p.m.
